We hope that you are doing well as you read this letter, thinking about the future of your baby. We are excited about starting a family and incorporating a new life into ours, so we hope you consider us in your child’s future. We hope our letter will give you a feel for who we are and how excited we are to become parents.

We met nine years ago in San Francisco and quickly fell in love.  Eight years later we married in a ceremony surrounded by supportive friends and family.  We are both well established in our careers, Bill as an architect and Eric as a teacher.  We have always talked about raising a child and we can’t wait to do this together.  As a tenured teacher, Eric is looking forward to taking a year or two off to be with our new child.  As an architect, Bill has the ability to work from home in order for us to spend more time together as a family.  Eric is originally from the Bronx, New York, where he cultivated his love for the zoo and museums. Bill grew up in a small town near Boston with his aunts, uncles and cousins living only a few houses away making it easy to always find players for a quick game of street football. Among our friends, we are known to be two of the silliest and most playful – and they are a pretty fun bunch themselves!  We are both kids at heart and look forward to having a child to share in our adventures and to enjoy the children’s books and toys that we have accumulated over the years.
